TIME TO CELEBRATE!

So over the weekend, a girlfriend and I had a small engagement brunch for our dear friend and fiance.   If you read my last post about the super cute surprise Prosecco note you'll know who I'm talking about.

The inspiration of the brunch was all about "time," and I hope you will notice what a blast I had  brainstorming and decorating this event.

The design of the invitation is what themed the rest of the decor for the brunch.

The buffet table was adorned with clocks, an hour glass, yarn wrapped bottles, food cards, and cute little banners.

In the center of the buffet table I took a vintage suitcase and hung a mini banner that said "time to eat."

The "love" banner was made from coffee stained paper doilies that I stained by hand and adhered the letters on top.

The food labels were inspired by the bride and groom's love of reading.

The vases were bottles that were hand wrapped with yarn.

The sangria table had a little section that had an homage to the Texas Groom by placing the silverware in a glass boot.

All of this the artwork used at the party will be on etsy.com for purchase of diy printables so be on the lookout!

TOO CUTE NOT TO ACCEPT!

Two weeks ago a friend of mine cleverly conspired with my brother-in-law to sneak into the house while I was away running errands.  I soon found this ridiculously cute note attached to a bottle of Prosecco in my refrigerator asking me to be a bridesmaid.

Upon my ultimate surprise I felt this note was just too cute not to share.  The tag, which reads, "As I prepare for the day that I am to be a bride it would mean the world to have you sipping by my side," is also the nautical map of the area in which she will be wedding her best friend.

This is too cute NOT to accept and very tasty as well ;)  So of course I accepted with honor!

COUPLES SHOWER

I had the privilege of doing a couple's shower invite.  My first ever!!!  I was very excited to incorporate both bride and groom for the shower invite and therefore used the colors from their wedding, while also maintaing a contemporary modern feel suitable for both parties.  Hope you all like it!!

STRIPED WEDDING INVITE

Over the past month I've been working on an invitation for one of my best friends and I am now very excited to finally be posting it.  Throughout the month we endured many trials and tribulations to incorporate all of her requests....damask, contemporary, traditional and stripes.  Once the design process was started I was so invested in the concept that I don't actually think I knew how it would turn out but once finished I couldn't be happier.

Since it is a destination wedding, we included with the invitation an accommodations card and a directions card which was housed in a pocket on the reverse side of the mounted invite all bound together with a piece of twine.

Wedding day stationery coming soon....

MODERN REHEARSAL LUNCHEON

Over the weekend, one of my favorite clients got married!!  Their wedding was absolutely STUNNING.  Fortunately, I had the opportunity to do their stationery for their rehearsal luncheon.  The venue, Georges At The Cove, is a chic and modern restaurant overlooking the ocean in San Diego.   I wanted to make sure that every piece of the stationery matched the aesthetic of the restaurant, and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out!!

BABIES, ELEPHANTS AND GIRAFFES....OH MY!!

I have to apologize for being out of the blogging loop.  It has been a crazy couple of weeks, but it has been a good crazy.  I have invites from baby showers, bridal showers, and weddings that I can't wait to show you!!

Here is an invite from a baby shower that was hosted at the yummy Bucca di Beppos.  In order for the invite to sit well with the decor of the restaurant, we kept with the color scheme of red, khaki, and a natural white.  I found a red fabric with elephants on it, and that was the start of my inspiration.  I think it turned out absolutely adorable....What do you think?

Also, I included an image of the banner that went with the invite.

SUMMER SOIREE: CHAPEAUX AND CHAMPAGNE

On Saturday, I partnered up with my good friend Christina Norton to throw a brunch.  A lot of time and effort went into the planning of this brunch, but it was well worth it!  Jessie from My Baking Empire, provided the desserts (YUM!)  Elena Hodis created the most beautiful floral arrangements that adorned the table, entrance walkway, and the buffet table.  And Erica Keuter Designs designed all the stationery.

French Country was the inspiration for our brunch, and Christina and I definitely delivered.  The dessert table included yummy treats such as Macaroons, Petit Fours, and Champagne Cupcakes.

The buffet table had the most gorgeous floral arrangement set in an antique watering tin.

The brunch table was accessorized with a 3-tiered cakestand, shot glasses and beer steins overflowing with gorgeous flowers.

The favors were a hand-painted box that we filled with blooming tea.

And last but not least, the brunch commenced with the initial design of the invitation.  Since it was a hat party, we found it fitting for the invitation to be to delivered in a mini hat box.  Christina and I hand-painted the boxes, coffee stained the feathers, paper shredded the book pages, and hand crafted the book paper flowers.  Inside the box, along with the invitation, we included a pocket watch that was set to the time of the "garden fete."

I want to personally thank everyone that had a hand in this brunch, and I have to especially thank Rick Keuter and Chris Wincek for being so patient with Christina and I :)
