TODDLER TUESDAY- MIND IS BLOWN

Seriously,  my mind is blown!  I swear last night I walked in on my toddler operating the mouse pad of my apple computer to find that she knows exactly how to use it!  It is crazy to think that she is only 2 and knows how to use the laptop computer better than my dad (no offense Dad, you know I love you!) Oh how the world has changed!  Gotta put this computer on LOCK DOWN when she is around!

And on a business front....I am working on some ridiculously cute baby shower invitations.  Paper, ink, and sewing OH MY!

TODDLER TUESDAY-YUMMY

Since my toddler is interested in EVERYTHING that I do, I am continuously thinking of ways she is able to help me.  Lately she has been helping me in the kitchen.  Many of my friends and family already know she isn't helping with much since I don't pride myself on my cooking, but we make do with what I can do.  One of the things that my daughter and I really enjoy making together are pancakes.  We like to spice up our pancakes by making them into different shapes using cookie cutters.  But after looking at these shaped pancakes, I am about to take our pancake making to a new level.

HOME IMPROVEMENT

My husband and I are a DIY couple.  We love to try and get the expensive look but 1/2 the price and we don't mind getting our hands dirty in the process.  One of our current projects is the revamp of our dining room.  We love the look of mismatched dining chairs (like the inspiration image attached) with the matching component being the upholstered fabric. So now that we have 2 chairs done, we are still on the search for 3 more chairs to complete the project.

T.G.I.I.F.- UPDATE A BACHELORETTE WEEKEND

So right now my really good friend is celebrating her bachelorette party in Nashville.  Unfortunately I was not able to make a the trek :(  And since I couldn't be there to celebrate in person, I had to send some of my handy-work to make it extra special for the bride.  I made a fun banner to hang in the room, posters I am sure the groom will be embarrassed of, and cute weekend survival kits.

Here is a little peak of the survival kits.

All the contents that did not match the pink/brown/berry story were individually wrapped and labeled so everything coordinated.

Today's post is an update to the following post in April (http://ericakeuterdesigns.blogspot.com/2012/04/tgiif-bachelorette-weekend.html).

TODDLER TUESDAY- WHITE AND NEON PARTY

My friend and I were talking the other day and were trying to come up with a theme for a kid's party.  She suggested a "New Girl" themed party, which I really liked.  Although when I was trying to pull an inspiration board together for that theme, it wasn't flowing for me.  So instead I took the Zooey "hipster" vibes of which my friend had suggested and transpired it into a vibrant white and neon party.

I also know that the one major inspiration for this board was the my attendance of the Coldplay concert at the Hollywood Bowl.  The concert was AMAZING and oh-so inspiring.  Here's a little shot of Chris singing "Yellow"

Now for the toddler party inspiration board which could easily be made into a poolside party.

Hipster Kids, Table Setting, Twine Wrapped Bottles, and Gift Wrap

And just to end the blog with a little viewing of the amazingness I experienced last week at the Hollywood Bowl.

AN ELEGANT BEACH-THEMED BRIDAL SHOWER

One thing a bride should look forward to besides their wedding day is their bridal shower.  It is the ONE thing they do not have to worry about planning and they can kick back and enjoy this special day in their honor.
The clients hosting the bridal shower wanted to have an extra special invitation designed for their niece.   While their niece is completing college and planning a wedding (bless her heart), they wanted to make sure she feels extra special at her bridal shower by having a custom designed invitation made for the event.

Kick back, relax, and enjoy the moment Emily!

T.G.I.I.F.- NAP TIME

I am completely exhausted!  Although it has been a good crazy, my past two weeks with work and in my personal life have been crazy busy.  All I want to do is NAP but unfortunately there are not enough hours in the day.  So I leave you with these images because I can't seem to get them off my mind!

TODDLER TUESDAY- A WEEKEND IN CONNECTICUT

Yesterday I got a preview of the dress attire for the Connecticut wedding of which Chloe and I will be standing in.  And I definitely squealed when she revealed Chloe's dress.  This wedding is going to be fabulous, and besides the bride, Miss Chloe is going to look absolutely beautiful.  So to maintain her cuteness for the weekend, I have began to plan Chloe's outfits for Connecticut.

From left to right:  Button-down shirt, jean shorts, navy moccasins, coral dress, white sweater, polka dot skirt, and striped dress are from Zara.com, striped ballet shoes, and boat shoes.
