T.G.I.I.F.- VINTAGE INSPIRED WEDDING

I am getting super excited for this Maui wedding coming up in August.  The Save-the-Dates have been completed, and now the invites have been mailed.  Today I am starting the day-of-wedding stationery, and how can I not be inspired by these amazing photos taken by TAMIZ PHOTOGRAPHY (click on their name to take you to their website) of the letterpressed wedding invites I designed.

If you are getting married in Maui and need a photographer visit tamizphotography.com.  (Warning:  be prepared to be AMAZED by their talent.)

Each invite was wrapped with a delicate lace picked out by the bride.

SURVIVAL KIT #2

Below are pictures from another Bachelorette Survival Kit that I made for a bachelorette weekend.  A fun weekend in Palm Springs needed some extra goodies to help survive the weekend.

TODDLER TUESDAY- MOONRISE KINGDOM

Although I have not seen this movie yet, you better believe I will be seeing it the second I get a chance to escape my little toddler.  I love me a Wes Anderson movie, and why not put a fun 1960's Wes Anderson spin on a little boy's camping themed birthday party.

T.G.I.I.F.- NEW YORK SAVE-THE-DATE

This save-the-date was completely inspired by the venue of where the couple will be exchanging their vows.  The venue, The Metropolitan Building, has beautiful antiques scattered throughout the building making it look like the interior literally never left the 1930's.  The image used for the front of the postcard was taken inside the The Metropolitan Building by the couple's wedding photographer, Chellise Michael Photography.  Not only is the photo and venue fitting for the couples "Secret Garden" inspired wedding, it was perfect groundwork to be inspired for the design of the graphics and typography for their save-the-date.

Totally inspired for the couple's wedding invitations....

IKAT BRIDAL SHOWER INVITATION

So I have been slacking with posting images of my actual work.  I swear I have been super busy, and for the wedding invitations that I have designed, I am waiting for the professional photographer images to show everyone.  I think their images usually turn out far more better than the photographs I take.

Here is a bridal shower invite that I designed.  The style of this shower is going to be bohemian chic, and the best way to create the mood of the shower is by sending an invite with elements that will be used in the decor at the party.  This invite's color inspiration came from the inspirational board I created on the blog, February 17th.

TODDLER TUESDAY- BREAKFAST AT CHLOE'S

So here is a little follow-up to Chloe's Birthday Party themes.  I am still struggling which route I should take.  Should I do a party theme of "Paper Bag Princess" or "Breakfast at Chloe's?"  Below is the inspiration board I created for Chloe's Birthday if it were a "Breakfast at Chloe's" theme.  I chose this route solely on the reasoning that Chloe's birthday is the day after Halloween, and I think she would look ridiculously cute dressed up as Audrey Hepburn.   Decisions....Decisions.

TODDLER TUESDAY- BABY SHOWER INVITE INSPIRATION

I just received a baby shower invite from the printer today, and I am so excited to start the assembly of this invitation!  Here is an inspiration board I created for the baby shower invite.  The color scheme is definitely my favorite part!

HOME IMPROVEMENT- UPDATE TO FEATURE WALL

So this past weekend, we did it!  Or should I say, my husband did it ;)  The feature wall had been installed.  Now we need to add the design finishing touches, like finding three more chairs to upholster, hanging a chandelier and adding a little color.

T.G.I.I.F.- FEATURE WALL

This weekend my husband and I are tackling the design of our dining room.  The current state of our dining room is a boring white room with remnants of party supplies leftover from Chloe's Birthday, which was 7 months ago.  We thought it was about time to elevate our dining experience.

I thought it would be cool to have a feature wall made out of molding, and below are some of the inspirational images I pulled from Pinterest.  The moulding route we decide to take is all dependent on how much work we would like to tackle this weekend ;)  Stay tuned for some before and after pictures.
